On December 17, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 9:42 a.m. and responded to a building fire at 99-901 Lalawai Drive in Aiea with 7 units staffed with 26 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 9:49 a.m. to find a two-story single-family residence with no signs of smoke or fire.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, extinguished a small fire in a closet and completed a search to confirm no occupants were inside the residence. The fire was fully extinguished at 10:36 a.m.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
