BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN HONOLULU

On December 22, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 12:00 a.m. and responded to a building fire at 1507 S. King Street in Honolulu with 10 units staffed with 38 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 12:09 a.m. to find light smoke showing from a unit on the fourth floor of a four-story building.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, initiated an offensive fire attack and completed a search to confirm no occupants were inside the residence. The fire was declared fully extinguished at 12:35 a.m.

The American Red Cross was notified to assist nine displaced occupants. All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
