On January 10, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 4:12 p.m. and responded to an injured dirt biker above the Mililani Cemetery in Mililani Mauka with 6 units staffed with 19 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 4:37 p.m. and established command. Another unit secured a landing zone nearby to prepare for air operations.
It was reported that a male in his 30s suffered an injury while dirt biking with a group and was unable to descend the trail on his own. Air 1 located the injured biker with the assistance of one of the other riders. Rescue personnel were inserted at the bikers’ location where medical treatment was provided. The biker was prepared for air extraction and Air 1 safely airlifted him to the nearby landing zone where care was transferred to Emergency Medical Services at 5:20 p.m.
All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries.
