On January 21, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 8:15 a.m. and responded to a building fire at 45-302 Puuloko Place in Kaneohe with 10 units staffed with 38 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 8:21 a.m. to find a working fire at a two-story single-family residence.
Fire fighters secured a water supply, initiated an offensive fire attack and completed a search to confirm no occupants were inside the residence. The fire was declared under control at 8:34 a.m. and fully extinguished at 8:40 a.m.
All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
