PEDESTRIAN EXTRICATED FROM UNDERNEATH AN SUV

On February 24, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 10:08 a.m. and responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian and an SUV at the intersection of Dole Street and Alexander Street in Mānoa with four units staffed with 14 personnel.  The first unit arrived at 10:13 a.m. and reported one elderly female in a marked crosswalk, trapped underneath an SUV.  Crews utilized pneumatic lifting bladders to lift the SUV off of the trapped woman, allowing fire fighters to extricate the woman from underneath the SUV.  Medical care was quickly transferred to on-scene Emergency Medical Services units.  

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.
