BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN KALAELOA

On April 6, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 5:09 a.m. and responded to a building fire near 91-2340 Coral Sea Road in Kalaeloa with 6 units staffed with 22 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 5:16 a.m. to find smoke and flames coming from the front of a two-story, abandoned structure.

Fire fighters used the water supply onboard the fire trucks to initiate an offensive fire attack with handlines, quickly bringing the fire under control at 5:21 a.m. The fire was declared fully extinguished at 6:02 a.m.  Primary and secondary searches confirmed that no occupants were inside the structure at the time of the incident.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.
