On June 23, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 3:10 a.m. and responded to an auto accident reported near 2176 Lauwiliwili Street with 4 units staffed with 14 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 3:16 a.m. to a single vehicle accident with two occupants still inside.
Upon arrival, one occupant self-extricated. HFD personnel stabilized the vehicle and used electric rescue tools to extricate the second occupant and transferred medical care to Honolulu Emergency Services Department at 3:45 a.m. HFD personnel secured the scene and transferred command to the HPD.
All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries.
