UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) Investigator has classified the cause of the fire that occurred on February 24, 2024 at 1935 Makanani Drive in Kuakini as undetermined. The fire originated in an area used for storage between a two-story residence and the rear of a restaurant. The point of origin and ignition source is undetermined. The damage estimate total is $784,000 to the structures and $50,000 to the contents.
