UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) Investigator has classified the cause of
the fire that occurred on March 30, 2024 at 2948 East Manoa Road in Manoa as
accidental. The point of origin was a recalled power adapter for a laptop computer. The
damage estimate is $112,000 to the property and $3,000 to the contents. The adjacent
units also suffered damages due to the fire. Those damage estimates are $1,000 in loss.
