FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN WAHIAWA

On April 13, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 2:24 a.m. for a building fire near 1285 Neal Avenue in Wahiawa and responded with 6 units staffed with approximately 22 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 2:29 a.m. to find smoke emanating from the rear of a 2 story commercial building. The fire was confirmed to be located outside of the building and did not spread to the building itself.

Fire fighters commenced an offensive fire attack and declared the fire under control at 2:34 a.m. The fire was fully extinguished at 3:13 a.m.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause and to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
