UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) Investigator has classified the cause of
the fire that occurred on April 13, 2024 at 823 California Avenue in Wahiawa as incendiary.
The point of origin was ignitable liquid poured onto an illegally dumped mattress at the
rear of this address. The damage estimate is $5,000 to the property and $0 to the
contents.
