BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN KAHALUU

On November 13, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 6:49 a.m. and responded to a building fire reported at 48-262 Kamehameha Highway in Kahaluu with 10 units staffed with approximately 38 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 7:00 a.m. and found a storage shed on fire.

Fire fighters commenced an aggressive fire attack and completed a search to confirm no occupants were inside the storage shed. The fire was brought under control at 7:06 a.m. and fully extinguished at 7:26 a.m. All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
