UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) Investigator has classified the cause of the fire that occurred on February 27, 2025, at 89-245 Kawao Avenue in Nānākuli, as accidental. The ignition source was an electrical arc from a refrigerator cord in the garage. The damage estimate is $300,000 to the building and $40,000 to its contents.
