UPDATE: On June 26, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) resumed the search at 7:12 a.m. for the missing swimmers at the Hanauma Bay Ridge Trail in Hawaii Kai with 8 units staffed with 26 personnel.
HFD conducted a coordinated search by land, air and sea along with Honolulu Ocean Safety and the United States Coast Guard. After three full days of extensive searching from Maunalua Bay to Diamond Head, the HFD concluded the search at approximately 7:29 p.m.
All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries. If the public has any information or finds anything of significance in the area, please call 9-1-1.
