DRIVER EXTRICATED FROM VEHICLE IN PUPUKEA

On July 29, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 7:39 a.m. and responded to a single vehicle collision near 59–479 Pupukea Road in Pupukea with 4 units staffed with 14 personnel.  

The first unit arrived at 7:45 a.m. and discovered the one occupant, the driver, had been partially ejected and was still pinned with the vehicle, entrapped inside as well as underneath. The vehicle sustained significant damage colliding through two telephone poles and stopped with the vehicle resting on its side with the roof folded around the second pole.

Fire fighters stabilized the vehicle, utilized hydraulic rescue tools, and extricated the driver at 8:53 a.m.  Medical care was quickly transferred to the on-scene Emergency Medical Services unit. 

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no reports of injuries.
