ONE OCCUPANT EXTRICATED FROM A VEHICLE CRASH ON FARRINGTON HIGHWAY IN MAKAHA

On March 16, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 9:00
a.m. for a motor vehicle collision on Farrington Highway in Makaha and responded with
5 units staffed with 15 personnel. The first responding company arrived on scene at
9:08 a.m. and reported a two-vehicle accident with one occupant still in their vehicle.
HFD personnel stabilized the vehicle and used battery-powered hydraulic rescue tools
to extricate the occupant. Medical care was transferred to the Emergency Services
Department at 9:14 a.m. HFD personnel secured the scene and transferred command
to the Honolulu Police Department.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries.
