UPDATE: On May 26, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) resumed search operations at 6:33 a.m. for the missing jetskier off Mokulēʻia in Waialua. Five units, staffed with 15 personnel, participated in the coordinated effort.
HFD conducted a coordinated search by land, air and sea along with Honolulu Ocean Safety and the United States Coast Guard (USCG). After three full days of extensive searching from Kaʻena Point to Waimea Bay, the HFD concluded the search at approximately 5:00 p.m.
All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries. If the public has any information or finds anything of significance in the area, please call 9-1-1.
