OCCUPANT EXTRICATED FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION IN MOANALUA

On June 5, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 3:38 p.m. and responded to a motor vehicle collision on the Moanalua Freeway near the Fort Shafter exit with 4 units staffed with 14 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 3:46 p.m. to a four-vehicle accident with five occupants still inside.  

HFD personnel stabilized the vehicle and used hydraulic rescue tools to extricate one occupant while the rest were able to exit on their own with the help of fire fighters. Medical care for a total of seven people involved in the accident were transferred to Honolulu Emergency Services Department by 4:20 p.m. HFD personnel secured the scene and transferred command to the HPD.  

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries.
