RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN PEARL CITY

On June 24, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 7:51 p.m. and responded to a building fire at 2238 Auhuhu Street  in Pearl City with 11 units staffed with 37 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 7:59 p.m. to find a two-story residence with fire showing from the rear of the second floor.

Fire fighters secured a water supply and initiated an offensive fire attack, bringing the fire under control at 8:37 p.m. The fire was declared fully extinguished at 8:56 p.m. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the five displaced occupants of the home – two adults and three children.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported. 

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
