DRIVER EXTRICATED FROM VEHICLE IN KALIHI

On July 20, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 5:17 a.m. and responded to a motor vehicle accident for a rollover near the Olomea and Kohou Street intersection in Kalihi with 4 units staffed with 18 personnel.  

The first unit arrived at 5:20 a.m. to find one vehicle on its roof with the driver pinned inside.  Crews stabilized the vehicle, utilized hydraulic rescue tools, and extricated the driver at 5:38 a.m.  Medical care was quickly transferred to the on-scene Emergency Medical Services unit.

There were no other reported passengers or vehicles involved.  

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no reports of injuries.
