On August 1, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 6:22 a.m. for a building fire at 1151 Loho Street in Kailua and responded with 10 units staffed with 32 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 6:31 a.m., observed flames and smoke from a two-story residential structure and upgraded the incident to a second-alarm assignment.
Firefighters secured a water supply and initiated an aggressive offensive fire attack. A search was completed to confirm no occupants were inside of the structure. The fire was brought under control and fully extinguished at 6:42 a.m.
All HFD personnel were accounted for with no reports of injuries.
The HFD Fire Investigator was requested to determine the origin and cause of the fire and to assess damage. An update will be provided upon completion of the final investigation report.
