On September 22, 2026, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 2:05 p.m. and responded to a commercial building fire reported at 92-200 Farrington Highway in Nanakuli with 7 units staffed with approximately 23 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 2:12 p.m. and reported smoke and flames emanating from a detached trailer. The second-arriving unit began a secondary search for occupants.
The caller reported the fire was in a container used as an employee lunch room. Fire fighters commenced an aggressive fire attack and confirmed that no occupants were inside of the trailer. The fire was brought under control at 2:26 p.m. and fully extinguished at 2:36 p.m.
All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
